Hello there.

Welcome to my digital home.

I’m Geraldine, a Queer, multiracial Indigenous mother, writer, intuitive fiber artist, and hedge witch. I’m also a Tarot reader and a budding herbalist.

Raven & Moss is where I share stories and creative projects as I journey with the seasons, walk with the ancestors, and learn what it means to be fully present with the joy and the grief of this life. This is a place where beauty and creativity can exist for their own sake -  where I can share as an act of generosity and connection - and where I can practice letting myself be seen.

I also craft spirit dolls & talismans - sacred tools woven from fiber, bones, and plant medicines. You can read more about my magical fiber art here.

This website is a living thing - Mercurial - forever shifting, changing, and growing. Here, I’m free to be myself in my unfolding. Above all, this is a creative, alchemical space where I can rest soundly in the chrysalis of becoming.

And you dear traveler? Whoever you are - whatever journey has brought you to my tiny website world - all of you is welcome here.

A little more about me:

I’m a Cancer Sun, Pisces Moon, Gemini Rising INFJ/HSP who deeply identifies with the Hermit archetype.

I’m fascinated by the subject of “identity.” I think a lot about self-assigned identity vs identity imposed on us by others; how we understand who we are and how this relates to who we want to become; and the (often hidden) ways in which those identities are fed by capitalist, patriarchal, colonial ideals of what is valuable.

I’ve held many different titles over the years, though I am an artist and writer at my core. I have a degree in philosophy and sustainable agriculture and I’m a certified massage therapist (though I no longer practice massage therapy). I currently work as a transcriptionist/researcher and homeschool my 10-year-old (which feels like several jobs all rolled into one).

I dream of living on a farm, growing my own food, and divesting from all capitalist and colonial beliefs about what it means to live a “good life.”

I’ve spent a great deal of my life stuck in existential crisis. The need to share thoughts, feelings, stories, and art springs from this place - a way to “make sense” of something - the why of our existence - that is forever out of reach.

I am mixed, multiracial, Indigenous. My ancestral lineage is Lingít, Yéil L’eeneidí (Raven Dogsalmon), from Xootsnoowú Kwáan (Angoon, Alaska); West African; and European. This blend of cultures and traditions is woven into all aspects of my life and creative practice. I am continually learning what it means to live within and embody this identity.

I live with my partner and our son on Lingít Aaní, on the traditional and unceded lands of the Áak’w Kwáan (presently called Juneau, Alaska).

Everything that I create is an offering to my Ancestors.

Get to know me better:

Raven & Moss is more than a website - it’s a portal - an invitation and an offering from my heart to yours. Perhaps, like me, you are on a pilgrimage back to your true self, gathering pieces of your spirit that you lost along the way.

May what you find here be of service to you on your journey.
